IMPLEMENTATION OF CONTROL SYSTEMS

Objectives

This course presents an introduction of model-based implementation of embedded control systems. Through a project using LEGO Mindstorms NXT robots, the students will learn methods and tools for automatic and safe implementation. They will then apply them to control Mindstorm NXT robots.

  • Methods and tools for automatic and safe implementation

TP

  • Design and implementation tools (Simulink, Lustre, NXC)
  • Project: Design and implementation of a controller for Mindstorm NXT robots.


Prerequisites

Introduction of control theory, introduction to real-time systems.

Assessment

TP: evaluated based on the reports on TPs (during the course).
E1 (or E2): evaluated based on project presentations and demonstrations (which take place in the period of examinations).
