Objectives
Design of a microwave mixer with ADS (Advanced Design System from Agilent Technologies). Circuit conception and test.
Simulation of RF front-end impact on digital signals. Integration of circuit models into system simulations.

Content
- Design, simulation and realisation of a microwave active mixer at
4.45 GHz. Realisation of the circuits. - Simulation of the transmission and reception systems.
- Realisation on PCB (printed circuit board) of the circuits.
- Microwave characterization of the circuits. Digital measurements using RF modulator/demodulator, Bit Error Rate Testor.
PrerequisitesPrerequisites:
Courses on microwave electronics, digital electronics, digital communications.

2 project reports: one concerning circuit design, the other concerning system simulations.
