Goal(s)

In this module, the students will learn the basics of C++ programming in the context of applied mathematics. To be more specific, the course will highlight the differences with some of the languages learn during previous classes as well as strength and weakness of C++.

  1. Overview of the language and the programming tools
    C, Makefile, gprof, valgrind, introduction to class
  2. Operator overloading
    unary, binary et ternary operators
  3. Classes
    Multiple inheritance
  4. Template
    Partial specialization.
  5. Introduction to Standard Template Library

Prerequisites

Algorithmic, Compiling, Data structures

Test

Practical work perform by a team of two students.
