Why study Smart Energy in Grenoble ?
Energy and sustainable development currently constitute two major societal, scientific and industrial challenges. In this context, energy transition, particularly the efficient production of renewable electricity and heat, as well as its storage and optimized distribution are booming industry sectors.
Owing to its outstanding scientific environment and its pioneering activities linked with hydroelectricity, Grenoble has always been in the forefront of the development of new technologies in the field of energy and water management.
The Grenoble INP Ensimag Institute of engineering univ. Grenoble Alpes Summer Program in Smart Energy will capitalize on this expertise, covering several fundamental aspects (from smart-energy to emerging energy society) and applications (from physical modeling and optimization to machine learning and internet of things (IOT)) of this exciting domain.
Program
The 5-week program combines:
academic courses
analysis of the GreEN-ER smart-building with design of Key Performance Indicators related to human practices, machine learning applied to occupancy estimation and design of a smart-sensing environment for collecting data about human practices.
a full social program including courses in French language and culture, visits to world-class research facilities and events such as weekends in the mountains, wine-tasting classes, and visit of neighbour cities (Lyon, Annecy...)
