Mari-Ann Einarsrud est professeur à la Norvegian University of Science and Technology, department of Materials science and Engineering, Trondheim, Norvège. Elle est spécialiste en synthèse et caractérisation de matériaux inorganiques nanostructurés (aérogels de silice, matériaux ferroélastiques, électrodes de SOFC). Depuis 2014, elle co-dirige un groupe d'environ 50 personnes Inorganic Materials and Ceramic Research Group à l'université de Trondheim.
