Iulia-Maria HuditaThe year spent in France, at ENSIMAG, was one of my best years ever.  I must confess that in my country, Romania, we have an old-fashioned university system which is based on theory and the students are asked to learn by heart thousands of pages. I was amazed to discover at ENSIMAG a good organization and a very efficient scholar strategy. Everything is very practical and seriously taught. There is a great communication between students and teachers, we were encouraged to ask for further explanations any time we didn't understand something. Teachers answered immediately to our e-mails and they were willing to spend some extra-time with us if we needed to. The lectures are based on practice and the scientific information was sustained by exercises and projects. I have noticed that the courses were related and that we could use the things learned from one to the other. But one should know that the exams are not easy and in order to pass the year you really must work. The Board of Students organizes each year a lot of great activities and parties, so we have many occasions to interact both with the French and foreign students. It was a great pleasure for me to become friend with my African, Vietnam, Moroccan, German colleagues. I really enjoyed this multicultural aspect of the university life in France and I am positive that it had broadened my mind. Another important aspect for the life of a foreign student in Grenoble is the beauty of the town. The great mountains that surrounded it are inviting us to skiing, to trips and to all kind of adventures; we can ski and do climbing even as a noted sport activity.        Even if now I am in my dear country, surrounded by friends and family, I am looking forward to coming again in Grenoble for my third year at ENSIMAG and I hope that in this way I will obtain my Double Diploma.   Iulia-Maria Hudita, University Politehnica of Bucharest
