Learn basic concepts of computer networking and acquire practical notions of protocol implementations. Some basic distributed algorithms will be also studied.
The course introduces communication networks. We present the ISO seven layer stack architecture. Specific mechanisms and functionalities involved in various steps of data transfer are analyzed. We present the TCP/IP protocol architecture and basic distributed algorithms. Training classes parallel to the course will give you an opportunity of learning implementation details.
