Goal(s)
This course unit is a project-based course aimed at developing students' ability to evaluate visual computing methods in a professional context and to argue for the applicability of a solution.
Students will be placed in groups and will need to find a technical solution to a visual computing problem while adhering to a pre-existing set of requirements. To do so, students will need to produce a report containing:
A state-of-the-art review
Benchmarks of the considered methods
A point-by-point comparison of the considered methods against the requirements
A conclusion on the method to apply in order to solve the given problem
An estimate of the work required to integrate the solution
