Objectives

The objective of the Master of Science is to offer to all students, regardless of country of origin, access to world-class graduate training in areas of Cybersecurity where the scientific research community in Grenoble is particularly strong.
This programme is offered jointly by Grenoble INP - Ensimag, UGA (School of engineering in Applied Mathematics and Informatics), and IM²AG (Department of Informatics and Mathematics of Université Grenoble Alpes).
CySec is a highly competitive, second year European Standard (LMD) graduate programme, taught in English, offering training in the areas of cybersecurity: secure protocols and infrastructures design and analysis; software and hardware implementations; coding and multimedia application; audit and forensics.

Admission

Entry requirements

To be admitted to the programme, candidates shall have previously completed their undergraduate studies and been awarded a Bachelor degree in either Science (BSc) or Engineering (BEng) that includes courses in computing and solid practice in programming. Applications of candidates with bachelor in Computer Science or Computer Engineering will be preferably considered. Skills in Mathematics (algebra, probability theory, arithmetic) are required. Admission of students is always at the discretion of the Master team which may require that the student attend pre training courses.

Who can apply?

  • Anyone holding a first year of master with 60 ECTS credits in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or an equivalent degree; and interested in pursuing a high level education in Computer Security and Cryptology.
  • Admission is also possible for students having successfully completed the MoSIG-M1 (first year of MoSIG) programme including the elective course Introduction to Cryptology and Coding.

Program

The curriculum includes five core and mandatory courses. Students can choose to follow either a specialization in Advanced Cryptology or in Advanced Security.
