Objectives

The objective of the Master of Science in Informatics is to offer to all students, regardless of country of origin, access to world-class graduate training in areas of informatics where the scientific research community in Grenoble is particularly strong. This programme includes four specializations:
  • DSAI Data science and artificial intelligence
  • AI4GIVR Artificial Intelligence for Graphics, Interaction, Vision and Robotics
  • SHCE Software Systems and High Quality Components Engineering
  • DC Distributed computing: from cloud to edge computing, embedded systems and networking

  • Cloud Computing & Data Infrastructures (CCDI)
  • Applied Artificial Intelligence and Interactive Systems (AAIIIS) - track shared with M2 AI programme

Entry requirements

MoSIG (M1 - M2)
To be admitted to the program, candidates must have previously completed their undergraduate studies and been awarded a Bachelor degree in either Science (BSc) or Engineering (BEng) that includes courses in computing and solid practice in programming. Applications of candidates with bachelor in Computer Science or Computer Engineering will be preferably considered. Skills in mathematics (algebra, probability theory) and Informatics (C/C++/JAVA, algorithms, Computer architectures, Operating Systems principles), Data bases and software engineering are required.


Important notes
  • Students from related backgrounds (physics, computer science, engineering, …) may also apply provided they possess outstanding mathematical qualifications and are highly motivated by applications.
  • Eligibility: only individuals who have an excellent academic record will be considered. Applications from students from traditionally underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged.
  • Academic standing: Fellows must maintain full-time status in the Master’s program, and must be engaged in full-time coursework or research during the academic year (september 1st–July 31st).

 
Language requirements

  • Students are required to provide evidence of competence in English, mainly from tests validated with a B2 level. The accepted tests and scores are listed on our admission webpage.
