Goals

To introduce the clinical motivations of virtual and augmented reality systems in medicine and surgery and to present the hardware and software components of these systems. To present models used in this discipline. To discover state of art systems

Content

Clinical motivations of AR and VR
Imaging systems and technological components (localizers, and medical robots)
Fusion of virtual and real data
Biomechanical models and surgical simulators
Examples

Prerequisites

basic knowledge in image processing or analysis and robotics welcome but are non mandatory.

Tests

Lab works involving some of the presented technologies in image processing, fusion, modeling and simulation, based on medical data. Examination based on a written report
