Goal(s)
This course presents the new service architectures emerging with the deployment of the IP technologies in the Telecom network (UMTS). A Lab on a real platform illustrate the concepts presented in this course.

This course objective is to present the emerging service architectures deployed in the UMTS Telecom network for consumer markets also called IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). The main objective of the IMS is to provide a core architecture to execute and offer to end-user convergent services involving internet and multimedia (web, mail, chat, presence, conferencing) services from anywhere.
