Goal(s)

The aim of these conferences is to welcome speakers from industry who will develop a technical topic directly linked to their professional activity, and provide specialist insight into a field directly related to one of the topics covered in the Engineering for Finance specialization.
At some of these conferences, students are also introduced to socially responsible finance (SRI, ESG criteria, etc.).

Content(s)

The “Technological Conferences” course will be assessed on the basis of students' attendance at the 12 conferences and the submission of three presentation reports chosen by the student.

1- Attendance
Attendance is graded on 8 points. Attendance is deducted one point for each conference missed.

2- Reporting
In their future professional lives, students will be required to attend conferences and seminars, and to report on them to their colleagues and superiors. Writing reports following technology conferences will enable students to acquire and develop the skill of transcribing the proceedings of a conference they attend.

Each report is marked out of 4. Of course, reports can only relate to presentations at conferences attended by the student.

Prerequisites

There is not any prerequisite.

Test

Evaluation : 40% of Assiduité and 60% of Rapport écrit (NC)

Resit : 40% of Assiduité (reported score) and 60% of Rapport écrit (NC)

Session 1: attendance at all technology conferences (attendance out of 8 points) and submission of three presentation reports (out of 12 points, each report being assessed out of 4 points).

Session 2: attendance at all technology conferences (deferral of session 1 attendance grade for 8 points) and submission of three presentation reports (out of 12 points, each report being assessed on 4 points).
