Goal(s)
Continuing the "Digital in Society" curriculum, this course aims to introduce students to contemporary issues. It allows students to understand current debates and provides them with tools for analyzing societies. The goal is to integrate engineers into their environment, society as it exists and evolves. In a context of accelerating change, where engineers are essential drivers of change, they cannot ignore the factors, mechanisms, and consequences of their actions on the world.

The topics covered are based on current economic and social events. The goal is to introduce students to the analysis of major contemporary issues.
This course may address, for example: the productivity gains crisis in an innovative society, the effects of AI on wealth distribution, the transformation of employment in digital professions, the role of governments in financialized capitalism, etc.
Thus, based on current debates, the aim is to understand the tools of economics, sociology, and political science to analyze society.
Evaluation : 50% of Examen écrit + examen oral + assiduité and 50% of Examen Ecrit (1H)
Resit : Examen Ecrit (1h)
