Goal(s)

The aim of this course is to provide students with the fundamental mathematical elements necessary for the analysis and processing of digital signals. Fourier analysis will form the first part of this course, followed by signal sampling. Random signals and time-frequency analysis will constitute the final part of this course.

Responsible(s)

Sylvain MEIGNEN, Mickael NAHON

Content(s)

  • Fourier transform of functions, analogic filtering
  • Introduction to distributions, Fourier transform of distributions, digital filtering, Z transform
  • Sampling: from continuous to discrete signal
  • Random Signal
  • Time-frequency analysis, wavelets.
  • Notions signal approximation and estimation: coding and compression
