Goals

This course provides a basis in analysis and numerical analysis. We first start the course by defining important notions used in mathematical analysis (vector spaces, norms,...) and then we illustrate these notions by giving some examples.

Content

-sequences and series of real numbers
-Differentiability of functions
-Determination of the zeros of a function.
-Least-square approximation - Gauss Elimination

Prerequisites

basic analysis and basic linear algebra

Tests

Two written exams (1h30 ) (E1a for P1 and E1b for P2)

NP1 = (E1a+TP1)/2
NP2 = (E1b+TP2)/2
NB1 = NP1
NB2 = (NP1+NP2)/2
NFS1 = NB2
NR = maximum((NB1 + NB2)/2, E2)
NFS2 = NR
