Goals
This course covers advance techniques and theory in computer vision. It is offered as part of the Master of Science in Informatics at Grenoble, specialisation Graphics - Vision - Robotics.
All lectures are in English.
This course is composed of 12 lectures of 3h duration covering visual perception, detection, tracking, image description, machine learning techniques, Projective geometry, image formation, camera modles and motion tracking and spatio temporal models for shape.
Content Lesson 1: Visual Perception in Man and Machine
Lesson 2: Detection, Tracking and Attention
Lesson 3: Local Image Description with Gaussian Derivatives
Lesson 4: Scale Space, HOG, SIFT and Interest points
Lesson 5: Projective Geometry and Camera Models
Lesson 6: Artificial Neural Networks for Pattern Recognition
Midterm Exam (50% of final grade)
Lesson 8: Calibration and Image Mosaics
Lesson 9: Structure from Motion
Lesson 10: Structure from Motion
Lesson 11: Shape Models
Lesson 12: Articulated Motion
PrerequisitesLinear algebra, basic programming, probability and statistics.
Tests 50% Mid term exam (3h) + 50 final exam.
The exam is given in english only
