The course objectives aiming to enhance the apprentices’ competences are two-fold : firstly to improve communication skills by underlining the use of the language as an indispensable tool for interaction in professional situations
The course is mainly devoted to acquiring professional and communicational skills, developing language strategies and cultural awareness and training students to satisfy TOEIC and/or TOEFL requirements.
One of the courses is devoted to making sure the students satisfy the requirements in terms of TOEIC or TOEFL certification, for those who need it. For the others the emphasis will be put on improving their speaking skills. Then professional case studies are undertaken to allow students to consolidate their skills in a multitude of situations encountered in the workplace. Cultural and intercultural competences are also developed in order to give students the knowledge and know-how necessary for them to adapt effectively to the way of life in English-speaking countries.
