Content(s)
This course will be made of 3 sub-modules
- The first one (25%) will be dedicated to the IoT reference architecture patterns, from the network protocols & communications up to the service plan. We will leverage for that reference models commonly used in the industry.
- Then we will focus on the network protocol layer (40%), covering rapidly 6lowPan & RPL and then making a detailed drill down on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
- Finally, to illustrate the IoT service plan, we will explore the machine learning space (35%). For that we will review the basic fundamentals of this discipline and will then examine some basic tools and concepts to understand their usage in the IoT world. Also, a module dedicated to the IoT Web service layer (CoAP) will also be presented.
This course is also made of 2 TDs: one on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and the other one on Machine Learning.
Prerequisites- Basic OSI protocol stack concepts
- Familiar with network trace analysis
- Pyhton basics (used for machine learning) in particular the pandas library
